Laptop! AnimeFest. My Muse
I have my new Tablet PC and I have no idea what to do with it. I should get a padded bag for it otherwise I’m sure to break something taking it places. Have to wait for the memory to arrive tomorrow, then I’ll need to find some time to install them. Need to make the stupid recovery disks (>_< cause they don't send the software with it... no that'd be too easy). Wipe the drive to get rid of the partition. Clean off the crap programs. See if I have PC versions of Photoshop 7, I found the PC version of Photoshop 4 but I'd miss some of the brush effects in 7. Put Painter on. Illustrator? Word? Buy the added parts and service protection plan? Screen protectors, if I can find them. Wacom Drivers, dear god let it include adjusting the pressure sensitivity. Also virus software might be good.
I kept poking it unsure what to do with the thing without Photoshop and the memory. I have to work tomorrow too so I can't really mess with it just yet.
But finally, I have a DVD burner!!!
I think I'm mostly over my cold. Though I have this cut deal on the roof of the inside of my mouth. Mouth crap sure takes forever to heal. >_< Fun fact, when I was poking it on Sunday night it would make one of my teeth hurt. Scared the crap out of me until I realized it wasn’t actually the tooth. It’s not doing that anymore thankfully and it seems to be heading out. I just can’t stop poking it with my tongue. I have to avoid abrasive foods… which apparently is most of what I like to eat. Meh!
I went through and put together all of the My Muse ideas. So I think I have everything sorted to the right places including most of the new characters. Just have to get back on to working on it and and figure out how I can possibly make some of the ideas into comics.
Oh and I tallied up what I sold at AnimeFest and after expenses… I made a whole $3.50. Still, at least it paid for itself. =]
Hmm, sleep? Maybe early tonight? Might be good.
Cold, Animefest, comic ideas, kill me
I don’t really know why I’m up but now I’m waiting for the Sever Cold and Flu medicine to knock me out and make my mind let go and stop making me stay awake. I need my sleep to kill this cold.
I just wrote a comic that might make someone angry or maybe it won’t… considering I’m almost invisible I don’t think anyone will care. It’ll probably get a rewrite to be more vague and then I’ll use it.
Strangely, the more I read online about comics, just reminds me why I no longer read online about comics. I find it so much nicer not to care about stuff that will never affect me or people being obtuse.
Went to AnimeFest this last weekend. I was not really expecting to go to this con. So I really had nothing to sell. I figured I’d take some of my general stuff and so I did amazingly poor at the con. Been a long time since I’ve had a terrible money con so I figured I was due. Also note the nothing new to sell bit, most definitely not helping. Considering how cheap the con was I didn’t mind.
Shawnna, who was next to me and who let me share part of her booth did hmmm… 6 times better then me. She was selling one dollar buttons of cute anime faces and sold a shit ton of the little things. Made me happy when she let me sell her stuff. =]
Mostly went to the con to meet Lindsey and Jared, who make the comic Peach Fuzz. I was happy to see them all the way out here in Texas where I could actually drive to see them. Ended up talking to them for a long time at the con which was awesome. Also got to meet up with Rivkah again as well and talked to her for a bit, that was nice. Missed Robert DeJesus even though he was right inside the dealers room. =[ Talking to people was the best part of the con for me.
The con was well run and everyone seemed friendly. The hotel room was super awesome for the price, Giant bed! I had a fun time if not the most profitable. A 4 day con ending on Monday is sort of weird but it worked out okay. I got Jamba juice before we left for the con.
Urgh, cold medicine might be kicking in… I think I got a cold from the con. Sterling has it as well. Hopefully Shawnna can stay cold free or something.
This Journal doesn’t really get across how much fun the con was or junk? I liked talking to people about stuff… yep. Ugh, sleep might be good or something.
I keep drawing tiny index card pictures cause they are handy and I miss the quick art fix.
Whoa, I think I should go lay down now.
