Failure to Design with Reason … Part 1
Whee, “My Muse” is back for a little bit. This is Reason and his story came to me while I was very very tired one night and just wanted to sleep. Within a few minutes I had this whole 2 page scripted out…
Since this isn’t usually how I work I figured I’d take advantage of my good luck and make this comic. I was already in the middle of the 4 page comic that now comes after this one that also has Reason as a character in it. But since this one intros Reason I’m running it first. =]
Index cards: 001 - angel kitty
I’ve been making tiny pictures for the last few months on 4×6 index cards. I’m just trying to get faster and loosen up. Making pictures on little cards lets me do little things like I use to do back in 2000 and 2001 when I was making cards of cute furry characters to sell on furbid. I have around 40 or so of these but I’ve been really lazy on scanning them. I figure I need to post them or something other wise they’re just hanging out in a photo album.
Melly aka: missmonster got me back into the little index cards when I went to see her at Armadillo con back in August. In fact this little kitty is from that convention. Melly makes little monster cards on colored paper and she let me bum some supplies off of her to make a few at the con with her.
I don’t know why I gave him little angel wings… it’s just something cute that I tend to like to add to kitties that I draw.
I live, My Muse, Subconscious
It’s sort of true. Been working and getting use to my nice shiny new computer. It’s pretty weird but I’m so glad to no longer be working on all those giant color pictures with a slow, slow machine. Yay, for new processor and lots of memory. I’m still getting the handle on the machine but I’m pretty happy with it.
Sigh, I’m pretty sure at some point I’ll crush it. Hugs laptop to chest to keep it safe.
I’m once more out visiting Mike in California so I’ve been lazy… thankfully I have updated the Saiko and Lavender webcomic before I left town. So those pages have been going up on schedule.
I’m going to start posting “My Muse” again here. Possibly next week on Tuesday. I’ve got at least 6 pages ready and I’m working on 2 more and another color picture for it. In the meantime here’s a picture of one of the new Muses I haven’t draw a comic for… it’s written I just haven’t drawn it yet.
Thankfully, I don’t tend to listen to my Subconscious.
