Wow, I am so unprepared for this. I’ve only recently started to make plans. Worse trip planner ever.

Mom used some crazy amount of airline miles to get her, me, and my friend Marcy tickets to Japan (Tokyo) in December. We’re going to be out there some 3-weeks or so roughly from the 18th of December all the way until the 4th or 6th of January. We are so unprepared. LOL, even though I’ve received amazing help and tips from friends I’m only now starting to feel like this trip is going to actually happen and to start some sort of planing.

We’re going be in Tokyo during Comiket 75 so we’re trying to figure out all the stuff we have to do to attend it. I believe it’s too late to even try and sell there so I’m not too worried about that. Marcy wants to be there super early… I think I’ll need to make sure to pack a warm coat if we’re going to wait in line for a few hours.

Actually I think I’ll need all kind of warm winter clothing as I don’t have much of that anyway. I live in Texas after all.

It’s also been about 8 years since I was actively taking Japanese in school… I’m going to be sooo rusty. So far, the things I remember how to say are “please repeat”, “where is the toilet?”, “how expensive?”, Sailor Moon’s attack spiel (sigh, once a dork, always a dork), and “My name is Diana Sprinkle.”

Does anyone out there have suggestions and stuff for Japan? I’m sort of flying by the seat of my pants on this and I have no idea on the whole hotel, sightseeing, train pass, food places, comic shop stuff that I probably should. Any tips?

Anyone actually in Japan right now?

Does anyone out there remember high school better then I do? Specifically in the Texas area, since we have some odd customs that the rest of the states don’t. Like mums. Man, have those gotten out of control since I was high school… now they are like a huge breast plate or a dress. Not that they weren’t already sort of silly when I was high school but wow… LOL check this out: www.royales.org/events/news/2006mumsale.htm

So, could someone help me out, what the hell happens at those high school pep rallies? It’s been like forever since high school and I can’t remember. At my old high school they’d cut class early in the morning, usually it was home room, and force everyone into the gym’s bleachers to watch some sort of thing with the football team, or the cheer leaders, or maybe it was the band? Some combo of that stuff. Something… I do remember spending most of my time trying to avoid them or study through them. Good job me.

LOL, anyway I always thought they were lame. =/ It didn’t help that our football team sucked ass.

God, sometimes I hate my story ideas. I was perfectly happy forgetting high school and now I have to dig up info on it. Hmm, I wonder where the hip punk smoke their cigarettes now-a-days… I somehow doubt they let them smoke out in front of the school like they use to. =/

YAY! Finished mostly with horrible work schedule! Free time art!!! Draws high school vampire character in arty way, ie: nude. Must remember the “high school” part and not draw character like this too much! >_o;;;;; Messes with textures! Uses the dual brush feature in Photoshop! Makes things really blue-purple with bits of minor awesome… do all of it at 72 dpi and not be able to use coloring texture stuff for a print. Boo Hiss!

I think I forgot to post poor Randall here. See the thing is, I have this huge stack of art. Every once and awhile I get the mistaken impression that if I just post it to Deviantart, people will watch me and friend my stuff… this is a foolish assumption but I can’t help trying out now and then. Anyway what this means is that I keep finding art over on my Deviantart account that I haven’t posted here. Which is a damn shame. Pets my website.

So, here’s Randall. He’s from my one and only Vampire story. I did not start out thinking “oh vampires I love vampires” but fell into it when I came up with the perfect name for a silly vampire comic. Don’t ask, the name isn’t really that important honestly. Still, it’s a rather retarded reason for an epic vampire story but hey at least when people ask how I come up with my ideas I’ll be able to give an answer. =/

This lead me to start thinking of just what kind of vampire comic I would make? The only thing I’m sure of right at this point is that it does not involve “vampire football” (again, you’re better off not knowing). I poke the story bits now and then… basically I mess with it when I’m not struggling to actually make my real comics happen. That’s been working fine until this last week when the damn idea has to bombard me with stuff! Ah well, I write what I get and hope some of it sticks.

Anyway Randall! He’s all blacks and photoshop brushes! I drew the actual drawing with a brush pen that was trying to run out of ink. That’s why he has that neat texture on his clothing.

Let’s see, I survived AnimeFest by heavily medicating my lingering cold that refused to stop churning out phlegm and by leaving the table to talk to Bigbigtruck, an awesome artist that would totally draw her hot guys for me if I gave her money. Hands money over for hot dudes. Also Chai tea… thank you Startbucks. We bailed on Sunday night due to slow sales and people sitting down in the walkway and screaming next to us. WHY? WHY? WHHHHHYYYYY?

I don’t remember anime cons being this tiring. San Diego wasn’t this bad and it’s a con of a gillion people crowded into a small small space. Oh and yes and I did get the red river of female shame… the tasty apple of cherry koolaid pants… the Aunt Floo… the some horrible sounding euphemism for blood shooting out of some personal part of myself, yada yada ya. =<

So, I got hot dudes drawn for me by Bigbigtruck and hopefully I did not infect her with my horrible snot churning cold… I’mohmygodsorryifso!!! And I um… sat behind Shawnna’s booth a whole bunch selling buttons to people and tried to not stab people in the eyes when they sit down in front of the walkway next to us to watch flash videos and scream. Oh the screaming! And DANCING! AND SCREAMING, I HATE YOU GOD. Cough, yay?

Edit: I also meet some wonderful people who didn’t scream in my ear or dance… I love you guys. Composes a song in your name.

In revenge for anime cons now being like daycare… I’m going to inflict Naruto fanart ala Diana’s horrible brain on you all. Ahem, BELIEVE IT!!!

The picture started as just Naruto’s face and developed Sasuke for easy taunting. I’m planing to color this someday when I’m not a lazy bastard that doesn’t make time to draw things for herself. I have way too many images that need to be finished sort of like this though less in the fanart vein. When finished this will surely be added to my print book of cute animals, girls and dudes that are too manly/gay/naked for the crowd currently going to anime cons…

Also I started posting to Y!Gallery… I predict mostly reposts and frustration. Did you know that they automatically delete people’s comments from your inbox and also delete updates to your watchlist if they are older then 100 or 20 days respectively? Wow! WOW! Lets back slowly and carefully away from the Y!G subject. =[ I’m sure I’ll have more to say when I’ve been posting there a little longer then 3 days.
