This is for Shirt.woot’s derby #152 De-evolution derby, a joint venture with the band Devo!
I did this as a parody of both the old RCA logo with the dog listening to the old fashion record player and as a take off of a sick dog in one of those cones. Except now the dog is the record player, the touch wheel is the record and the Devo hat is both the cone of the record player and the cone for the sick dog.
This is suppose to represent the state of the music industry, it sometimes seems like music isn’t evolving but more like it’s De-evolving. Sampling old music and regressing while advancing. It’s very odd.

I may or may not be having a hard time sleeping… my computer also may or may not be blue screen of death-ing on me. Neither of us can make up our mind and I’m blaming Window’s new update for the strange computer stuff.
My Schrodinger’s Cat shirt has done rather well at Woot. I’m currently hanging out in 10 place on their top 20 chart and selling fairly good. Nothing like some of the top sellers do but I did sell 3000 shirts the first day so I’m good. There’s this idea at Woot that some people are only in it for the money and I hate to tell people but we artists are an incredibly fragile and egotistical lot. We want people to want what we make. The money is good and all but having people buy and desire and talk about our stuff is also super important. Basically even getting paid won’t take the sting away from super low sales. Ouch.
In keeping with this talk of shirts I’ve just learned that shirt.woot will be running one of my shirts as an upcoming daily (that means sometime Monday-Thursday). No voting or derby required. One fine night at midnight a new design of mine will pop up on woot ready for purchase. Some of you guys may have seen the design at A-kon, I made it into my business cards. =D This was like um… number 6 of the designs I’ve been sending them so I’m happy I made one that they liked.
Okay now I’m tired. Sleep now for a bit then I have to get up and help put down the flat colors on some images for Mike.

Wow, so my Schrodinger’s Cat shirt has managed to stay in the top 9 (the fog) since the beginning of Shirt.Woot’s Psychedelia derby. Which means that I may have a chance of getting printed at Woot this weekend.
