Crosshatched Trees and Travel Expenses
Spent the day laying down coloring flats for page 3 of my comic and colorizing some crazy crosshatching and ink lines… still nowhere near finished with it. So instead, here’s one of the final colored panels from page 2 with the crazy crosshatched tree and all it’s white branches! Earlier version of panel here! Also this is a sample of how the coloring is going to look. It’s a mixture of Photoshop and Painter.

Also I was wondering… has anyone taking the Greyhound bus before on a long trip? What’s it like? I want to go to these two conventions coming up and the plane tickets are 335 dollars. I don’t want to pay that much and there doesn’t seem to be any summer deals (It’s making me mad! Where are my deals of convention affording!! Shakes fists at Southwest. Why have I been forsaken?)
Is taking the bus worth the almost 200 dollar savings on both trips? Is it scary? I took the train once and it was awesome if a little boring. Although I really should have brought food things to eat. So, I’m just wondering. Any tips for a 30 hour bus trip? Please let me know! I will love you guys forever! T_T
I had cake today! It had ice cream in it and little stars on top. Yum!

The longest busride I’ve ever taken was 8 hours one-way. Can’t say I’d want to do it again, but probably would to save a few hundred clams.
Greyhound long-distance busses are usually pretty nice, but they’re still awful cramped if that 30 hour trip is non-stop.
If it’s more like 3 days of 8-hour trips and motels, might not be so bad, though. As long as those motels are paid for. Otherwise might only be saving 50 bucks over plane ticket for a whole lot of discomfort and time.
